| kardousab16:01 UTC13 Jul 2007 | Hi All
I will be arriving in Munich , Franz Josef Strauss Airport at 2 PM, My next connecting flight will be at 8 PM same day
My Question is Can i go outside the airport ( I only have 6 hours ) and have a drink, get around and come back to the airport.
If Yes, so what would be the best way to go, by bus, by train? how much is the ticket , is there 2 way tickets ( bus or train ) ?
If not, Is there any other options or suggestions to kill the time? Like a nearby mall , or anything ?
Thanks

| abalada19:27 UTC13 Jul 2007 | Freising - a nice typical Bavarian town. And has the oldest brewery on this planet, the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan (founded in 1040). 18 min by bus. There is a bus every 20 minutes. EUR 2,20 (day ticket EUR 5,00).
Or Munich itself. Airport to Marienplatz (centre of the old city) needs approx. 40 min by S-Bahn. EUR 8,80 (day ticket EUR 10,00).
DB timetable From: MUC airport To: Freising To: Muenchen Marienplatz

| baldpacker05:15 UTC13 Jan 2014 | I'd also recommend Freising. When I went it was a beautiful fall day and I'm a beer lover so it was great to have a pint at the World's Oldest Brewery. You can read more about my time there here: http://baldpacker.com/germany-freising-worlds-oldest-brewery
