Hello, Ill be moving to stockholm to study portugese at the university of stockholm in december 2009/january 2010. Ill be following a program so ill be around for some years. i have been told it can be rather difficult to find a place to live so im a bit worried! im looking for a studentapartment or a room in a "studentkorridor".. where should i look and isnt there a single website for all the studentkorridors in stockholm? i have been using google but havent found anything really useful. In denmark where im from people who move far to study are put in front of locals when looking for apartments/studentkorridor rooms.. arent there any apartments or studentkorridor rooms that are designated for foreigners or swedes coming far away from stockholm? i dont need a room/apartment in the very center of the city - i just want a place to live. hope you can help me :) johan

The universities have some apartments/rooms reserved for foreign exchange students, so you might want to check with a student adviser at the university. But since you're out well in advance, I don't think you'll have any problems. I suppose you're already registered at SSSB's website? http://www.sssb.se Other major companies providing student housing include Svenska Bostäder (http://www.svebo.se) and Huge (http://www.huge.se), but there are also several smaller companies or organizations providing student housing. | 2
