Is it possible to ride a motorbike from Katmandu to Lhasa via the Friendship highway, if you were to have a chinese visa, appropriate permit for Tibet and some sort of papers as proof of ownership of the bike. | ||

I think is is possible in theory, but as you have to have a liason officer with you if you have your own vehicle, riding a motorbike would mean a convoy system with support vehicle. And still I think Tibet would not be possible. In any case riding your own bike there means a lot of red tape, connections, tons of money etc, and apperently also the bikes would have to registered in China and chinese DL:s fror rides... | 5 | |
