Motorbike rentals in Ninh Binh area

Hello, where is the best place to rent motorbikes in this area? I've read people getting them for as little as $4/ day. Anybody know of such locations?

Also, we decided to stay in Tam Coc over Ninh binh. Is this the right move? Generally I like to avoid tourists but I have read that Tam Coc is much better to stay in over Ninh binh. Can anybody confirm? Also open to other suggestions of better places to stay.

Ninh binh is not a very attractive town but it does have more resources like restaurants and shops. Tam Coc is small but quite attractive. It can get very busy with tour groups during the day and is quiet in the early morning and late afternoon and night.

Tam coc is the place to stay as you can do the boat trip early in the morning before the touts and tourists arrive. I then went back to my hotel for breakfast, hired a bicycle, and spent the day exploring. There were loads of motorbikes and bicycles for rent in Tam coc.

Definitely Tam Coc. All the hotels and GH rent motorbikes (4-5$ day). Bicycles are free

Hi perfumeflypaper, VNMese usually come and arrive within a day, therefore the accommodation is not very good. It is closed to other places, about 1 hour to Sam Son (Thanh Hoa) and 2 hours to Hanoi (Ninh Binh is the middle of Hanoi and Thanh Hoa. However, in Ninhbinh you can stay in Van Long - Kenh Ga, there is hot spring and manual boat.

Kenh Ga scenery is beautiful but it is one-hour motorbike drive from Tam Coc via Hoa Lu end Bai Dinh. You stay in TAM COC, which is in the middle of a myriad of beautiful sites
