Mongolia - TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE

Anyone else heading to Mongolia to see the total solar eclipse on 1st August?

Trying to. I would ideally like to fly into Beijing, spend a few days exploring the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, then train up to Ulaanbaatar and head West from there for a week or so for the eclipse. I'm trying to get roundtrip airfare from Beijing, so I'd have to make it back to Beijing after that. Not sure how I'd get out to western Mongolia, but looks like hiring a jeep with a few others would be the best, or (dare I say it) doing a tour. Bah, but I don't like the idea of forgoing my freedom for a tour. What are you thinking of doing?
