Mombasa-Nairobi train tickets - East Africa Shuttles

Hi, I wanted to buy a train ticket and was looking to do so with East Africa Shuttles. I've already made an enquiry with them but after initially getting a message about paying into their paypal account for the ticket, I haven't had any responses to other questions I had. Has anyone else booked with them or another company for a train ticket? I know the trains are often delayed but I'd still rather buy a ticket online in advance.
Planning to travel on 29 November and will be solo so if any other travellers fancy meeting to travel together, let me know!

I have taken this trip twice and simply bought the ticket at the station the day before. Not that it was needed, the train was far from full on both occasions (1st class) and I actually had a 2 person compartment for myself. Maybe a bit boring but I like trains

Same here, I've travelled on the train 4 times now and always just bought the tickets at the staion the day before, either 1st or 2nd class.
I think East African Shuttles are fairly reputable (the Man in Seat61 suggests using them and I've always found his advice trustworthy) but they do add a bit on to the price, so unless you are really short of time, wait until you get to Nairobi.
