Maui to New Zealand flight..... can it be done?

Can anyone help me figure out if I can go from New Zealand to Maui direct rather than going through Australia ......alll suggestions welcome

Fly to LA, then NZ or to SF then NZ.

I would have thought the simplest thing to do would be to see who flies from Maui. I seriously doubt if anyone flies direct to NZ but there's a remote chance that you might be able to island hop across the Pacific

Honolulu-Fiji-New Zealand (check Air Pacific and Air New Zealand)?

Go to honolulu and get an Air NZ flight to NZ, no idea if the cheaper airlines do flights but Air NZ do one because i'm doing the reverse flight on my way home!!
