Maroccan Silk Bag Technique

Country forums / Africa / Morocco

Hi Guys,
has anyone come across bags in Marocco made out of texturised vegetal silk? Do you know what this technique is called? I have seen at the YSL Museum (in Jardin Majorelle) in Marrakech but not in many other places. I have also found an identical one online in the link below (it's not my own ad, it's just a reference) BAG EXAMPLE
I am planning to travel to Morocco next month and try to find out more about this but I was wondering whether anyone know more than I do? I would love to find an artisan or supplier that work with this but I'm completely lost. I am a young designer, I have small brand of accessories and would really love to integrate something like this into the collection.
Any advice or suggestion would help.
THANK YOU!
Daria

Thanks Sailorguy! Do you know if it's common? Is it easy to find artisans that turn Sabra silk into something like that in the picture?
