Luan Prabang accomodation

What is your advice for accomodation in Luang Prabang in August? Something clean, safe for around 15 usd....

YOu're not going to have much difficuly becuase it's still the low season. Try to time your visit for the 'dragon boat races' along the Nam Khan. Very festive. Also attend the early morning 'tak bat' but away from the peninsula crowds at the smaller villages around town.

Just show up and walk around to find $15 range guesthouse-there are many.

As for Boat Race in Luang Prabang, this is not to miss…one of my two favorite festivals in Luang Prabang, the other is Pi-Mai New Year.

I think the date for Boat Race is August 23 this year??

namsok guesthouse is in the middle of it all. 15usd will get you a very clean, large and AC room. nice family that runs that place.
