Lower Zambezi canoeing safaris (cheaper if contracted in Zambia)?

Hi!

I am heading to Zambia in August and would like to do a 2-3 days canoeing safari in the Lower Zambezi. I have checked some prices and the safari costs around 150$ per day and person ...which sounds a little bit expensive.
Do you know whether it is cheaper to contract it when arriving at the area? I never contract trips before leaving my country as in my experience you usually get better prices there but not sure whether this would be possible with that safaris...
