Low cost airlines South americaCountry forums / South America / Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands
hello there, I am in Ecuador at the moment and looking for a cheap holiday trip for 2 weeks. Are there low cost airlines like for example in Europe Ryan Air? And do you also know plattforms where they post very cheap offers or trips for South america?? Thanks in advance!
No real equivalent to Ryanair or Squeezyjet in South America - if you're flying over a border it's never 'cheap' by those standards. There are some 'low-cost' airlines within Colombia, for example. The absence of real budget airlines is something I miss greatly having moved from the UK to Australia :( A few weeks ago I flew one-way from London to Morocco for 29 pounds sterling inclusive. Sigh... | 1
If only we got that in Oz poly....damn qantas and virgin. But mostly, no real 'low cost carriers'. I have heard of low cost carriers from the US to Lima/Bogota. But how cheap they are, I have no idea. In South America, hopping over to the next country is an expensive flight. Check the usual flight scanners (skyscanner etc). Check submarino viagens and decolar. | 2
Actually, there are kind of a couple low cost airlines. But not like AirAsia or EasyJet In Colombia, VivaColombia can be super cheap. But it is only domestic. Spirit Air can be a cheap way into or out of South America to/from the US. But there are a bunch of stipulations and 'catches' | 3
Yes they are great tips however there is a sort of low cost airline with LAN if you get the South American Lanpass thingy and you can use the points with One World airlines anyway to MAYBE get cheaper airfares world wide... | 4
No if what you plan to make is an international flight within South America. Well, in fact, no low cost airline at all operating in Ecuador neirther domestic nor international. | 5
Okay thank you all for your links and informations, will try to find something cheap within those pages!! :)) | 6
