Long layover in BogotaCountry forums / South America / Colombia
Hi all. I'm a solo female traveler with a 17 hour layover in bogota on December 11th. I'd like to see as much of Bogota as I can in that time and I'm looking for advice and suggestions. I'd be down with taking a tour but the layover tours I've been looking into are incredibly expensive and I'd like to keep my costs low. I arrive at 12:30 pm and my connecting flight is at 5:30 am the next day. Any suggestions ? Thanks!
Well that's kind of like having a (half) day in Bogota and having to get up very early for your flight, so just do whatever you would if you had a day there. I would get a room, possibly near the airport and be sure to arrange your very early transport with a reputable company, or just sleep at the airport if you don't mind that. As for what to do, you can find numerous guides. Bogota is not a place where you want to risk your safety to save a few dollars, so don't even consider anything besides a reputable company for nighttime transport. | 1
