Lonely Planet V. Let's Go

Which guidebook for SE Asia is better, Lonely Planet SE on a Shoestring or Let's Go SE Asia?

Lonely Planet came out in March of 2004 whereas Lets Go came out in Dec of 2004.

I used Let's Go in Europe and it was wonderful. However, I found that it is mostly used by us Yanks.

I used both for my last trip to Thailand and I actually liked the Let's Go better. Let's Go always seems to give more information on guesthouses and LP was a little more barebones with less detail. I also used the Europe one a few years ago so it could be just that I was more used to the style of writing and format of the Lets Go SE Asia.

Look at the Rough Guide.
I used the Let's Go to Mexico and it was OK.
