LOI for a UK passport holder?

Country forums / Central Asia / Uzbekistan

salaam
I have a UK passport and an Ozzie Passport.I am a dual national .
If I apply for my Uzbeki visa using my UK passport then it seems that a letter of Introduction will not be
necessary. Is this true and accurate?

That is correct. Here is the list of countries, taken from the Consular section of UZ Embassy's website, which are exempt from LOI requirement.

Invitation of travel agency in Uzbekistan is required (except for citizens of Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland) for the issuance of tourist visas.

G'day mate,

If you are in UK applying at Uzb emb then better use your UK passport no need LOI.

Or If you are outside and would like to get your visa on arrival at Tashkent apt better use your OZ passport but you will still need LOI to get your visa at Tashkent apt.

Depends on where you are travelling from. If flying in from Europe, then use your UK passport to get the visa at London embassy. If from Australia, then get an LOI from someone like stan Tours, so you can get the visa on arrival at Tashkent.

Hi
I am travelling from Australia so will I need a LOI or not if I am flying on a UK passport?

Mate flying from OZ you wont be able to get visa on arrival with your UK passport, UK passport you will only be able to get your visa in London without LOI. this is the rule because in UK there is Uzb embassy and in Australia they dont so for OZ's they can offer visa on arrival if you have a LOI.

In this case better arrange your LOI and use your OZ passport to get your visa on arrival at Tashkent airport.
