Lodging in Banos

Hi -

I'm looking for insight on lodging options in Banos. Specifically - if you are familiar with Posada El Marques please reply. Posada del Arte looked great but they are closed during the time we are visiting. Other options / recommendations most welcome, too!

You must be going the same time I am, because I also wanted to stay at Posada del Arte. I kept searching and discovered Hacienda Manteles which is located about 20 minutes away from Banos, in the Patate valley. They received great reviews on trip advisor.

El Marques is great I always stay there and enjoy it every time. Its clean, well located (no noise of night) and has helpful staff and you can walk to the hot springs in just minutes....

How funny. We too were going to stay at Posada del Arte but an entire group has booked the hotel. However, the hotel did recommend staying at their sister hotel which just opened. You can find get more info about Casa del Abuelo at http://www.posadadelarte.com/casadelabuelo

When did the group book Posada del Arte?

I just received an email from Posada Del Arte and they are booked the weekend of Nov 3-6.
