Last minute trip to Tanzania through Nairobi - easy to book cheap safaris?

Hi all!

I booked a last minute flight and will be in Nairobi next week. Would love to go to Masai Mara and/or Serengeti National Park to see the animals and was wondering if this can easily be booked in Nairobi or should I go straight to Arusha and find a company there. Are last-minute spots in safari groups easy to find and can they be on the affordable side? Any suggestions for (relatively cheap) safari companies that go for 4-5 days?

Ideally, I'd catch the tour in Nairobi, go through the Serengeti/Ngorongoro and end up in Arusha then I can make my way to Zanzibar.

In Zanzibar, what area is best for cheap accommodations on or near a nice beach? From what I've read, Nungwi is beautiful but maybe not the cheapest? Would love to find a cheap hut/hammock on the beach and chill for the last few days of the trip. I'm traveling solo.
