Koh Samui/Koh Phangan Accommodation

Can anyone suggest places to stay in Samui & Phangan with 2 young kids (2.5 and 4.5) during low season (around May/June). I want budget to mid range, and a beach that is Ok to swim during the low season. It also must be a quiet place, not lots of bars and restaurants. (I was looking at Au Thong Nai Pan Noi 7 Yai on Phangan but have become paranoid about the box jellyfish since reading a past message on this thread!)

On Saamui I stopped in a great place called Wanna Samui, there were people with kids there. Nice pool, on the beach - bit of a walk to the sea though (1min), nice restaurant, very quiet. Its on the east side of the island below Lamai.
