Kenya postal service for int'l shipment

Any consensus on the reliability of the Kenya postal service? I'm climbing Batian this week and brought a bit of equipment from home that I'd really like to unload after the trip. Is it safe to assume that everything will get there in a few months?

Not very reliable I'm afraid. The Kenyan postal service has quite a few dishonest employees who tend to help themselves to interesting packages.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Nyalibound. I have only used the service three times, but on two occasions the items disappeared.

Try and find yourself an alternative.

I'd have to echo what has been said already. I've had a package sent to me from Canada (which was sent 2.5 months ago) and a package from London (which was sent about 4 months ago) and I'm still waiting for both, with very little hope at this point. :(

Better off to post a message on here seeing of somebody is traveling here to Kenya and ask them to bring your items, or find a place to buy... (for outdoor gear there's a somewhat decent place on the top floor of Yaya Centre near the natural foods store)
