Keep Going East 2010-2011!!!

Interest forums / Gap Year & Round the World Travel

I'm from the west of Ireland, and I've decided that I want to travel around the world without using any planes. I've only begun saving money so it'll be a few years before I set off. My (very very) preliminary plans are to get a bus from Galway to Dublin, then a ferry to Wales. I want to spent a night in Cardiff, then a night in London. Then onto France, and through Europe taking in as many of the major cities as possible, (Berlin, Prague, Krakow, Budapest, Rome, Munich), I'm then either going to head up through Russia and take the trans-siberian Railway, or through the middle-East, onto Japan, then SE Asia, sail from there to Australia, then (if there's no other way) fly to South America, work my way up through Noirth America and into Canada, and from there back to Ireland....

So, anyone interested? My e-mail is eddking@hotmail.com

I'm doing pretty much the exact same thing except the opposite! Haha. I'm leaving Australia December '09, My one flight will be Melbourne-Jakarta (Indonesia) and then It's all boats, trains and buses up to England - Although I'll use planes if totally necessary or if it's vastly cheaper.
