Israeli Sticker On Back Cover of Passport

Hi,

In Israel, immigration officials put on sticker on the back cover (outside cover) of my passport. I took the sticker of, yet the glue from the sticker is still there. You can no longer see the sticker, but you can see that a sticker was there.

1) Could this prevent me from travelling to certain Muslim countries?
2) Could the glue on my passport make my passport no longer valid -- forcing me to get a new one?

I have glue stains from various stickers on my passport cover, usually from airline baggage stickers and some security thing I got in Russia, so unless it's in the shape of the Israeli flag or something, you'll be fine.

If someone wants to make your passport invalid (like the passport issuing agency if you want to keep it as a souvenir) they'll either punch holes into it or cut off a corner. Some glue residue doesn't make it invalid.

But I've often wondered what these stickers signify?

mmm dont think so! its just glue! dont worry, they are paranoic of security but not until this point!
