There is a museum dedicated to Patton though I have never been ,can't seem to get past the brewery. train from prague takes 90+ minutes and takes you to within a few minutes walk of the brewery, there are buses that are bit quicker but take you to another part of Plzen further from the brewery

| craigmiller06:50 UTC12 Mar 2012 | This is from a message I sent someone else on another travel forum about visiting the Brewery in Plzen ,hope it is of help to you. The Plzen Brewery is easy to reach from Prague. Take a train from Hlavni or Smichov stations (same train) you will get the times through www.idos.cz,journey time is about 90 minutes. direct trains run every hour or so.You will need less that 10 minutes to walk from the train station to the Brewery. I reccommend the train over the bus as it arrives closer to the brewery ,also trains have toilets buses do not and on the way back after several beers you will be wanting one. As you come into Plzen by train you will see the vast brewery complex on your right (it is HUGE).once in the station go out the main exit past the car/taxi park and onto the main road, turn right here and walk towards the underpass, you can go through here and take the far right exit and keep going, this will take you to the brewery. It is however much easier if you take the path to the right just before the underpass ,follow it up over a rise and towards the Angello hotel a big white building there is a walkway to the left of the building follow this round and you will come to a footbridge over the main road, this footbridge takes you right to the entrance of the brewery. The visitor center is about 50 or so yards into the Brewery on the left. http://www.prazdroj.cz/en/come-and-visit/pilsen-brewery/brewery-tour this link will give you details of the tours,if you want to make a real day of it i suggest you do the Brewing Museum as well.It is about a 10 minute walk from the brewery. There is a link to it from the Plzen website. I think the first English speaking tour of the brewery is at 12.45,so you could do the museum first or have an early lunch at the brewery resturant Na Spilce which is very good (and bloody huge) service is very quick in there ,the food good and the beer SUPERB. The Brewery shop is also excellent ,I always spend a small fortune whenever I am there. It is near the entrance to the resturant.(or was last time I was there) http://www.classiccitybrew.com/pilsen.html this is a list of bars in Plzen and i can highly recommend Stara Sladovna an old but fancinatingly interesting place for a beer,in cold weather there are open log fires to keep you warm. http://www.classiccitybrew.com/prague.html here is a similar list for Prague. Hope this is the sort of info you require,if you need anymore help just ask.
