Iran travel guide

Hi,

I'm off to Iran in a month and really want to take a guide book. The Lonely Planet one is being released in July (Why when that would be way TOO hot?!?!?!?) and I can't find any others that were published before 05 and I would like a recent guide; does anyone have any suggestions???????

Hi, I couldn't find any more up to date guides than that. I just splashed out on the last LP Iran and I'm sure it'll be adequate for the trip, coupled with the 'up-to-dateness' of the internet. I don't think they are releasing the new LP Iran in July to spite anyone, I just think that's when it'll be ready for publication!!

Having travelled in Iran recently I must say I found the lp edition quite adequate so dont worry too much

If you understand french there ıs an 'Evasıon' guıde that dates from 2007. However I have the ımpressıon that the amount of maps ın ıt ıs quıte lımıted and ıt's not really backpacker orıented.
