Inter-religious sites in South IndiaCountry forums / Indian Subcontinent / India
Hello everyone! I have a bit of a strange question, but I need advice and I am not able to find many places online to ask the question I am about to ask. I have been in India, and specifically AP/TL, many times, and in a few weeks I am going back. I am currently in the process of obtaining my PhD in Anthropology and as such was provided funding by my university to go to India to check out different places where I could potentially conduct my future research. I am interested in questions related to Muslim's who attend/participate in Hindu worship. I have found a few potential places where this regularly occurs, but I was wondering what possible suggestions other may have. I fly into Kochi, and will head to Tirupathi(by train) a day after arrival, but I can change those plans if there are sites in Tamil Nadu and/or Kerala. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
I'm not familiar with instances in the South, but I have witnessed this in Rajasthan. There are a lot of grey areas between Hindus and Muslim practices. I attribute this to the historical shifts in the ruling class's religion. | 1
