My indonesian friend says, there was a project to construct Monorail in the city few years ago.
But�@unfortunately? it had stopped, caused by corruption.
Busway will be the most convenient transportation for a while.

Off all south-east asian cities I love Jakarta though the traffic most horrid but the children's laughter will always play in my mind over and over again and due to the simplicity of the city which i will never experience in my country...i was based in jakarta for 1 year...I fall in love with Jakarta and hope the travel authorities will do something bout the transportation.....
Jakarta is a beautiful city internally......hope one day my hope will be a reality to see more green and pleasant Jakarta!!
