In need of application advice

Hey teachers,
I have been looking for China teaching jobs for the past few months and have received a lot of interested, albeit incoherent, feedback from potential employers. Employers want a copy of a degree (which I am about to get this May) and/or proof of attending school.
My question is then, what is the best way to send this information to China from the U.S.? Will scanned images of diplomas and degrees that are emailed prove satisfactory or should I invest in sending transcripts etc. via mail?

I've done it with a faxed copy of my diploma. So I suspect a scanned copy should be sufficient.

In Yangshuo they just photocopy someone else's degree, and change the name.

You can send documents via email and even your passport pictures that they will require when you get the job. You don't have to mail anything - fax or email it.

Scanned copies are fine.

Don't accept a job until you have communicated with a present or former foreign teacher there. If the school won't give you contact information, assume it's because they have something to hide.

#5 is right. I have a friend who just got a job here. He is very experienced in TEFL. And got scammed. Even found another, and had more problems. Seems what is initially promised, changes once you are onsite. Don't sign until you have checked everything out. If they push back, walk. They are hiding something for sure....and decide up front if you want to work without a visa or not. His was initially promised, then taken out once he got here....

Checking referees is invaluable advice (as in #5).

Scanned copies are fine. Also attach any academic records you may have as well (viz. print out/certificate from the university showing subjects and grades)
