Iceland RV Trip October 3-11

Hello,

We are heading to Iceland in October and have rented an RV with winter tires for our time there. We have about 6 full days to explore, and recognize there may be winter (or winterish) conditions at that time.

We are planning on keeping to the southern portion of the ring road and the golden circle, and will be heading to the Blue Lagoon as soon as we land at for 8 am for a few hours until we can pick up our RV.

I am interested in any suggestions on must-see things to do in early October along the southern ring road (e.g., fantastic view points, villages, etc.). Any insight is greatly appreciated!
