How's water temperature in the Dead Sea in the end of March?Country forums / Middle East / Israel
Hi, I will be in Jerusalem in the end of March and would like to take a day trip to Masada and Dead Sea by bus. I am wondering how's water temperature in the Dead Sea, will it be too cold to float in the Dead Sea? Thanks!
It will be warm enough for a quick float, which is as much as you would want. The water is slimy and unpleasant. It's worth a few minutes, just to say you've experienced it! Warning: don't try it with anything in your hands - newspaper, camera - because you will lose your balance and whatever you are holding will get soaked and ruined! Have fun. | 1
i heard the eastern shores (Jordan side)of the Dead sea 2-3 degrees warmer . cos it is exposed to the sun longer hours,,The western side ,surround by hills and it gets more of cold westerly breez | 2
Maybe, marcopoloo, but are you suggesting OP should swim right across the Dead Sea?! | 3
I floated in the Dead Sea from the Jordanian side last March. | 4
