How much money to take for 5 nights/6 days tour to Malaysia?

Hi, Iam getting married on Jan 11, 2015. I am travelling to Malaysia with my wife for honeymoon.
I have taken a packaged tour starting from Jan 20 - Jan 25. Staying in Langkawi and Kuala Lampur. Airfares/Visa, Accommodation, Breakfast, Airport transfers and Few Sightseeing places are covered.

So can you please tell me how money should i take with me for other expenses? I am guessing other expenses are Lunch, Dinner, Decent amount of shopping, Taxi, etc. From what i am saying people say to me i should take 1500 - 2000 ringgit. So please let me know asap.

last year, in penang, we spent 1000 ringgit as a couple in 6 days for eating and sightseeing, but we didn't do any shopping.

You take as much as what you can afford. Only you know how much shopping, etc you're going to be doing.

If you use a bank card to withdraw cash from ATMs, you don't need to worry about how much money you need to carry with you.

First of all..Congrats to you and your wife..cost if compare between langkawi and KL,langkawi will be abit expensive compare to KL so to be convenient for you better to bring your atm card because every where there will be atm machine so you just can withdraw when ever you need a cash
