House/Apartment Rental - Mozambique & Madagascar

Would like to spend some time in Mozambique and Madagascar this year and would like to rent a house or apartment. Not sure how to find this kind of accommodation Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

In Mozambique Tofinho (or the area generally around Tofo) is a good choice of location.

Or overlooking the beach are a few houses for rent (but not from this company) - even better

Local post office at any piddly town is a good source of information. If not, just try to communicate with the people at any local market, it may be a bit intimidating at first but from my experience, the more you are open and honest to them are, the more honest and helpful they will be back to you. We were even offered accommodation at local houses while filling up at the gas station. Just try variety of ways.
