Hotels in Calcutta

Interest forums / Kids To Go

Does anyone know a good hotel in Calcutta that has rooms big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids? Also, in Agra, Delhi, Varanasi and lots of other places. Any info on hotels you've stayed at would be great, thanks. AdrienneAustralia.

In Delhi, we stayed in the Master Paying Guesthouse, which has a one very large room that will hold a family, and several smaller rooms that can in a pinch (we put mats on the floor of one of the smaller rooms). Listed in LP India. Clean, kid friendly, nice owners, inexpensive (about $10 to $15 US per room, depending upon the size).

In Jaipur, we splurged and stayed in the Samode Haveli - great place. We got two huge rooms that shared the same private corridor, so it was actually like a private two room suite. I think about $60 per room.

In Agra, we stayed one night at the Taj View, which required us to get two rooms. Modern, non-descript - although clean and convenient, I wouldn't return.

I'll be soon in Calcutta with my wife; looking for an advice on a medium range accomodation. Anyone can help?
