Hotel near local airport

Hi I arrive at 8;30 at night,from the states I will just catch the morning flight to Bocas, is there a not too expensive hotel near the local airport?

PS buy the time you take the bus to David, overnight with a room, then on to Bocas, then the boat............ & the meals on the road

do you save much money by taking the bus? The flight is usd 105 BTW

Basically every hotel in the city is around the same distance from Albrook, within 5 minutes or so. If traffic is light then it's only about 10-15 minutes to the airport. Taking the bus would be heaps cheaper, especially if you take the direct over night bus at about $29. The boat is $3-5 each way depending on which company you use.

I contacted Air panama but they only do "reservations" and I haven't heard back from them.

Also, which hostel have you found?

Theres only Air Panama and they are pretty bad at answering their emails. As a travel agency (www.panamatravelunlimited.com) we can't even get them to answer. Some agencies have the ability to book direct but we're having to send someone to the airport to make the booking. For a hostel I would, of course, have to suggest www.mamallena.com as one of the better hostels in Panama City.

I ended up emailing every other customer service email from PanamaAir and was able to make a purchase through credit card. It may have helped that the many emails that I sent were in Spanish. Also, as recommended, I´m staying in mamallenas. Thanks!
