Hotel & tours El Calafate (June)

Can anyone please suggest a good quality hotel (3 to 5 stars) in El Calafate... Also, does anyone know of any good companies that can take us to the Perito Mareno Glacier.

PS - Yessss I know it's the off season and very cold!

A few years ago I stayed at the Cerro Cristal Hotel at Gregores 989 (in August, when it was REALLY cold). If you want to do your own research, the website is at: Cerro Cristal Hotel

It's more of a 2 - 3 star hotel but really clean, good location, hot water, nice staff, includes breakfast, they can hook you up with a glaciar tour if you want, and the price is great.

You can go to the bus station and take a bus to the glacier instead of going with a tour. It's less expensive and you don't really need a guide anyway (except if you want to do a trek on the glacier or something like this).
