Hostels in Puerto Montt and Chiloe

I'm planning to be in Puerto Montt and Chiloe between 30th December and 2nd January. I know I need to book accommodation now but I haven't had much luck finding anywhere on-line.

Can anyone recommend a hostel/b&b/homestay with contact details especially on Chiloe. I realise I'll have to pay an increased price but any information would be appreciated.

I stayed in Bahia Quillaipe at Puerto Montt. I went to Chiloe for a day trip with the ferry.

There must be at least 50, maybe 100 homestays/hostels in Puerto Montt, also a lot on Chiloe.

I can't imagine anyone wanting to stay in Puerto Montt - why? Isn't there anywhere else nearby that you can think of that's worth staying? or are you meeting cruise ship passengers?

No guarantees but you should be able to find something when your there, I always do. Many are small home stays that don’t advertise or have an internet presence.

In Castro there was a tourist kiosk on the main square that had a list of many places and would call around for you.
