Hitchhiking Ring of Beara and Glengariff bus question

So I've seen a few posts about this but I am sort of in a time crunch and would love some replies on a few things. My girlfriend and I are in Killarney now, and due to prior commitments can't leave from Killarney until 5pm tomorrow. We are hitchhiking so that is obviously not a great time to be leaving Killarney, but we are going to try and at least make it to Kenmare, but possibly further. We have from tomorrow (Monday) at 5pm until Friday (4pm) to be back in Cork for a flight. My wish is to spend Monday through Thursday nights on the ring, and then take a bus from Glengariff to Cork during the day on Friday to catch our flight. So here are my questions.

1. Besides the Dunsey Island, what are some recommended overnight stops on the ring? We are looking for rural, out of the way places away from tourists (hence the reason we chose Beara) but, at the same time, we have no camping equipment and need to be able to find hostels and/or cheap B&Bs. I know this somewhat rules out the most out of the way places, but I figure we can find something in between. Pretty much our ideal day is hitchiking in the morning/afternoon, arriving at a new place to explore and take in the surrounding areas (coastline is a plus!) and then hit up the local pub where there is a decent chance we are the only "non-locals" around.

2. I'm having a little trouble finding bus information from Glengariff to Cork/Cork Airport. Does anyone have an estimation of the bus times for this? This is obviously quite crucial for us as we don't want to miss our flight!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as we are strapped for time all day tomorrow and just ran into friends we didn't even know were in Ireland tonight, so our internet time will be brief. Thank you in advance for any and all help!!

For buses check buseireann.ie (origin: Castletownbere). There's a stop at Cork Airport before you reach the city. Takes over 2 hours.
