does anyone know how i can get from suvarnabhum to the sathorn area by public transport?i heard there is a new train system from the airport since i been to thailand.Thanks in advance.

Your choice to interchange with MRT (subway) or BTS (Skytrain) to get to Sathorn.

You can take the airport link sky train then change the Station at Phayathai to Siam then change again to Chong Nonsri. Optional taxe a taxi by meter around THB 400-500 depend on the traffic. But i don't recommend you to take a bus coz it will take really long time to get sathorn.

Sathorn is a long street so you have to know where on Sathorn. It runs the same direction as Sillom.

Indeed, as above, it is a long street and not all of Sathorn is convenient by skytrain/subway, in particular if you are around the Banyan Tree Hotel, which is smack in the middle between BTS and Subway, about 1km each way.

I am staying somewhere on soi 8 at sathorn.

BTS Chong Nonsi station then, Soi 8 within easy walking distance form there.
