Help with plans in Donegal, Limerick, and Cork

Country forums / UK & Ireland / Ireland

Hello all and first thank you very much for you help. My wife and I will be donegal for three days next week and want to book a couple of day trips sea kayaking, do you have any recommendations? We are not beginners and would love to go around slieveleague if possible. Also we plan on going to a place called Ballyhoura to go mountain biking, do you have any recommendations as to a nice quaint town to rest our heads. I heard a hotel called Fitzgerald's near limerick- any other suggestions? Lastly, where would you recommend near by for a nice place for a couple of days of hiking in the hills? Thanks again, mike

Hi....

Sea kayaking is great, at both Bundoran and Rossnowlagh (Co. Donegal).
They are excellent beaches, with good local (and not too expensive) amenities.
Hope you have a great time.

As per Ballyhoura, try this website: http://visitballyhoura.com/

I live in Cork city and been biking there few times but never stayed overnight.
Mitchelstown might be a good spot as it's not too far away from the biking centre. But it's a small enought town, nightlife might be poor. If you're looking for a city nearby try Limerick or Cork.

Enjoy!
