Help! I need cheap transportation

Country forums / Western Europe / Germany

I am in Berlin and tomorrow, November 4th I need to go to Mannhiem, Germany. The only train ticket I can find is 220 Euro round trip. Is there any cheaper way to get from Berlin to Mannhiem? Help. Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you.

Try www.mitfahrgelegenheit.de (you'll need basic German to understand the page). There's about 20 people listed who drive from Berlin to Mannheim tomorrow and offer the free seats in their car. You just have to pay your share of petrol (around 20-25 euro). You'll have to call them, though, and ask if the seat is still available.
GOod luck!

You could use regionals trains, i.e. the Happy-Weekend-Ticket. EUR 33,00. This ticket is good for 1-5 persons.
DB timetable
From: B
To: MA
and select as means of transport "only local transport".

The Happy-Weekend-Ticket covers additionally all local public transport in both cities (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, trams, buses).
