HELP!!!

Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Philippines

Hi im a back packer and have been travelling for just over 9 months

Unfortunatly the worst happened as my Back pack was stolen in China (not the best place to travel!) from underneath a bus!
the only good luck for me was i had my small bp and moneys on me at the time

now im in the philippines in cebu and im trying to get together a new back pack (home)

I can find most things ie shampoos, first aid and clothes etc but i can not find a TRAVEL TOWEL which i bought from either field & trek or blacks i cant remember.

If anybody is coming over from england could you please pick me one up and i will come and meet you where evere you are to collect and pay, thank you so much this would be more than helpful as they are so light and not bulky.

Or can anybody tell me where to buy one here??

thanks guys for your help and if your going to china hold on to every thing at all times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think you can buys those quick drying, super absorbent, microfiber TRAVEL TOWELs in the PHilippines.

Go to one of the big malls in Cebu city. Find out if theres a shop called any of these: Bratpack, Habagat, LA Gear, or even a sport shop (Toby, etc). The first two would usually have a travel towel (but not the big type) and the rest might have.

2

Have you tried a North Face store?

You can't find that towel anywhere here. I had to order mine online.

North Face doesn't carry their complete line here too.

Hi,

When do you leave for home?

Actually, you can buy microfiber towels here in the Philippines. I'm not sure where you can find them in Cebu, but they are certainly available in Manila. I bought mine (Aquus brand) at the Beauty Bar in Glorietta (Beauty Bar has branches at several malls in the metro). Last time I looked, microfiber towels were also available in Speedo shops (there's one at Megamall).

I may be mistaken here, but are those "towels" essentially not the same as what they sell in auto supply stores for drying cars? they seem the same, I used both.

Personally, I hate the feel of that synthetic on my skin.
I just use a bandanna in the tropics, it dries fast, does a good job even if I need to wring it out a couple of times before I finisg drying my hide.

If you need a space tecknology towel...you might consider travelling in space rather than in SEA..perhaps you are trolling.

9

perhaps you should lay off the drugs!!!! hahaha

but thank you for making me laugh!!
