Good value hotels in Singapore

Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Singapore

We are heading to Singapore in a couple of weeks and wondered what the best way to get a reasonable deal on a decent hotel would be. We've stayed at Traders before a few years ago and remember getting a very good deal through Trailfinders before we headed off. Are there any good travel agencies or websites worth booking through, is it better to turn up and book?

Any suggestions or recommendations would be gratefully recieved.

The Robertson Quay Hotel is good value. The rooms are small but the location is excellent at the end of Clarke's Quay and there is even a small swimming pool.

Also for good eating head for Circular Rd off Bridge St. Pavement style cafes which are a fraction of the price of the riverside restaurants.
