Ghana visa for non-residents

I am traveling from Lagos to Accra at the moment. Obtaining the Ghana visa is prooving to be increasingly difficult. The embassies in both Cotonou and Lagos only accepted residents to the respective countries. I don't expect a different treatment in Lome either.

As my home flight is out of Accra, I really do need to get there. Does anybody have a similar experience or knows a solution? Visa on arrival, transit visa, facilitation fees? Any advice or comment is being welcomed!

It's proving to be a massive problem, have a look on the Ghana threads for 'Where on earth can I get a Ghana visa' or something like that ... I believe someone had exactly the same problem but managed to get one - in Lome possibly!

The thread you want, although there are plenty of them about the visa situation on page 2 of Ghana on here ... Lome isn't too helpful either apparently; I met a German girl who managed to get 3 days from Lome Embassy in early January ... but it might have tightened up since then!
