Getting directly to Bogor from Soekarno-Hatta In'tl Airport

Country forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Indonesia

Hey TTers

I'm wondering if anyone knows if its possible to bypass Jakarta altogether by getting to Bogor from the airport - preferably by train - instead of heading to the Gambir station and then catching the express out.

Yes, there's a regular bus service from Jakarta airport to Bogor, though the latest departure isn't too late, around 8pm or so.

or take a taxi (Bluebird groups) from airport to Bogor..it will expensive though..

2

Thanks ! I was hoping the trains would run from the airport, but I guess not.

#3 No trains at the airport. You would have to take a train to Gambir or Kota station in Jakarta then a taxi or bus to the airport; Kota should be quicker, but I don't know if all Bogor trains go there.
Bus from Bogor is probably the best solution.
There used to be shared taxis from Bogor to Jkt, called something like 4747, but I don't know if they still run and if they go to the airport.

Sorry the trains do not run from the airport.
The regular bus service is the DAMRI bus, they leave about every hour and are air conditioned and the trip takes about 1-2 hrs depending on the traffic and cost is about 20,000 ( was that price in late Nov 2006).

Better take the DAMRI bus, current price is 25,000 from Jakarta to Bogor.

6

find DAMRI going directly to Bogor. it will stop in front of Baranangsiang bus station.

Wow, the price has gone up again on those Damri Buses. I remember a few yrs back when it was only 12,000 rupiah. Pamela.
