from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang overland

What is the best way to travel by bus from Vang vien to Luang Prabang
Are they good and reliable bus on the way
Where can I book tickets in van vieng?

Bus, mini van. Just front up at the bus station and buy a ticket.

You will see buses tickets for sale everywhere at guest houses, stores all over town. Signs everywhere. Worth getting the bigger bus for the extra leg room. If you get motion sickness at all you may want to take some medicine as the back and forth up and over the hills will make some queasy. Otherwise a very scenic drive.

Whoever runs your accomodation can advise / arrange... Go for the larger, more expensive buses and they will probably arrange to pick you up etc. But it's still a lottery what you get. Last time I did it, passenger numbers were low so 2 companies clubbed together and put all of their passengers in the one bus - and it wasn't the better of the two... and we started late... and ended late... you get the picture...
