| justkolyan23:06 UTC05 Nov 2015 | Hi everyone, i am going to Chile and Bolivia in February and I have a couple of questions(sorry, but I really didn't find exact answers on the forum):
- I am going to take a 3 days 2 nights tour(I guess Cordillera or Estrella del Sur because of many good reports) from San Pedro to Uyuni, but is it necessary to book it in advance? Or I can just come to the town and arrange the tour for the next day quickly?
- What is the exact process of arranging the tour, as I know the jeep is shared among 6 people, so if there are only two of us we will have to wait unknown amount of time for other possible travellers?
- Do we pay full sum at the booking time?
- How Bolivian visa is get and where?
- As I know February is a rainy season, so which changes of itinerary should I expect? Is it only Salt Flats that covered by water? Or some other parts also can be canceled?
- What are the options to acclimatise around San Pedro, I mean where can we go for a day to 3000m and for another day to 3500m?
Thanks.

- No. You can book the day before. Or even upon arrival in San Pedro. There are tonnes of operators so walk around and suss out the offers about.
- Walk into store. Ask about tour. Pay for tour. Go. As for what happens if its only 2 - they will generally combine with another tour operator to fit into a 4WD.
- Yup. Except for the cost of transfer to Bolivian immigration.
- Depends on your nationality. But in advanced if you need it.
- Most likely, you won't get to visit Isla Incahuasi but the rest is generally the same.
- El Tatio is over 4,000m in elevation. Its a morning tour from San Pedro.
