From Kuala Lumpur to Taiwan

Hi friends,
Along with my son aged19 ,we plan to visit Taiwan for a week in Jan 2010,from Kuala Lumpur ,Malaysia.
when we searched for KL to Taipei flights cheapest ones were Air asia quoting 604 MYR and EVA AIR quoting 753 MYR per person for a return flight.
Kindly advise us,which one is better and any other cheaper alternative available.

As Taiwan is an island, I would not expect to find really cheap flights unless they are from a budget airlines. For budget airlines try whichbudget.com, flybudget.com or skyscanner.net

Only budget carrier at present flying to Taiwan from Malaysia is Air Asia.
Though few other carriers are also listed in LP with base in Taipei,they seem to cater only local population as their website is in Chinese. The websites suggested by Ruth is very useful for general search,but about Taiwan per se ,its options are limited to Air Asia.

I flew on Jetstar from Singapore to Taipei and it was really cheap. This was a year and half ago so I assume that they're still around.
