From Beirut Airport to the City

How to get from the Beirut Airport to the city the best way, instead of using expensive taxi?

You easily walk out the airport. You have to cross all the car parks. After that you will be on the big road. Just give a sign to minibus service and when they stop ask for Charles Helou. They will take nothing (2500-3000 LL) and drive you to city center. Something like 20 mn across south Beirut.
Everytime a go in Beirut i get out the airport by this way. It's available (and securit) between sunrise and sunset.

I was charged $US10 for a 15min taxi ride at 1:00AM from the airport to Ashrafiye. Not expensive.

Either try to reach for an agreement with the taxi driver concerning the price of your ride, or get a taxi agency to pick you up, their charges are fixed (check taxi premiere http://www.taxipremiere.com/rates.html)

We were in Beirut last week. The walk past the car park and the minibus option worked perfectly well for you. The minibus took us all the way downtown. Price: 1500 LBP / per person. Great value !
