Flying out!

Country forums / Thailand / Thailand

Hi Guys and girls,

just wondered, we are due to arrive in Thailand in early Jan next year and we understand that some people from the UK flying into Bangkok have been refused entry as no proof of onward journey, so we are being sensible and bookingthe cheapest possible flight so we are ok.

Does anyone have any suggestions? just check on air aisa and for both of us 1 way to Phom Phem was £58 all in, .... any cheaper suggestions as we may not take a flight and go overland...

The problem that is facing you is not being denied entry at the airport in Bangkok. Rather, it is being refused boarding by your airline. They are liable if you are refused entry which is not going to happen. They are requesting this same proof of onward travel when traveling back to Thailand overland from Cambodia. You may be able to find cheaper "throw away" tickets to Kuala Lumpor or the like.
