Fiumicino Airport Hotel Help

Hi

I have a flight arriving into Fiumicino Airport from Croatia at 5pm on a Saturday in late July.

My flight out leaves at 7.50am the next morning, so I figure it's not worth going all the way into Rome.

I've been looking around at the airport hotels, but all I can find is bad reviews!

Does anyone know of a place to stay where I could get a decent night's sleep (as I'm doing a lot of flying), but won't cost the earth?!

Would love to have a shuttle to/from airport, and am happy to pay middle of the range.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would never pass up the opportunuty to spend a night in Rome- even if that meant getting up 30 mins earlier the next morning (only takes 30 mins to get to the airport from central Rome)

in that case, can you recommend a good hotel in Rome that has an airport shuttle? something 3 star or so, don't want to pay the earth but am happy to pay for a good bed!

The Holiday Inn Hotel is directly oposite our office at Magliana, I've stayed at this hotel on a number of occassions and while I don't rate it as great, it certainly is not a poor choice. (4 stops on the train from the airport - 20 minutes by train of around Euro 30 from the airport, they also have a shuttle bus).

MTL's 30 minutes is a bit optomistic from Rome to the airport, but if you want to stay in Rome then just around the corner from us is the Hotel Trastevere, right in the center of Trastevere and within easy reach of great views, restaurants and bars.

27 mins from Roma Trastevere to the airport by train- less at that time of teh day by car. agree it woudl be good to stay close to Trastever station though for a quick connection. of pay 35 EUr for a cab
