Fishing in or near Cochacamba

While in Bolivia, I noticed that every store that sold fishing equipment had pictures of large Trout supposedly caught near Cochacamba. Friend of mine is interested goes trout fishing in South America and said he never heard of this place.

Is it worthwhile to plan a trip there just to go fishing? Fishing store in Potosi had very impressive pictures of large trout --some taken at lakes and other at a river. Guy in store told me that the Rainbow trout in markets come from trout farms and native species are caught near Cochacamba.

I intended to check out the fishing myself but spent too much time in Rurre and never got there.
