Don't be too ambitious to see it all. The reason is because Singapore is hot and humid, some (a number of people) say its not, but I know I sweated a lot when I was there. You need at least 2 or 3 handkerchiefs, use one, put into pocket, use the other, the first one will be dry by the time you need it for the third time usage. Drink lots of water, because you will sweat it out, instead of pissing it out. Keep an open mind. O, if coming in to Changi Airport, get the taxi from the airport at least use it once. It might be a bit more expensive, but you can chat with the taxi driver who is a font of knowledge. They tend to be of a less scamming nature than say, taxi drivers in Malaysia or Thailand. English is spoken, but the accent is different, and you will need to get used to it! Sometimes the food is very heat hot, as in just out of the pot. Esp noodles, so if you want to try say, kok lor mee, noodles soup, don't put it straight into your mouth, you will burn it. The trick is to use either the chopsticks or the fork to cool the noodles down a smidgen. Fork it or chop stick it out of the soup for a few secs, then into mouth. The second type of hot, is chilli hot, pedas or hiam, pedas is Malay for chilli hot, hiam is quasi Hokkien. In a hawker centre, watch how people order. You can sit anywhere you want, and an "assistant" will come to ask what you want. If you are western, they will try to speak basic English. Some of them might even speak very good English. You can order from 2 or 3 different stalls, for 2 or 3 different snacks to make it a meal. Anyway, Singapore is a great place to be. Very efficient, and all well planned. MRT is a great thing, cheap too. One tip, spend the least time in transit from A to B. The more time you spend on the line, the quicker your tap card balance will go down. | 4
You should at least do one of the guided Singapore walks. It is $25 per person and they are really informative. I did the Time of The Empire and also Secrets of the Red Lantern Tour. Both were awesome and if I ever go back to Singapore I will definately do more. Our guide Geraldine was funny and really knew what she was talking about. | 5
you can visit the Singapore Flyer , world's largest giant observation wheel.. ... can see the entire singapore at a glance. Just walk in to buy tickets.. it's already open to the public and it's just next to Marina Square or Suntec City.. | 6

I had a brunch at The Equinox, on 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford. Even with bad weather, the views were breathtaking... on a clear day you can see a part of Malaysia and Indonesia. | 11
