He made it there and back via Gondogoro la despite of heavy spring snow over Baltoro glacier and the
5600m high Goldogoro pass.
His success was broadcasted by the local radio station as well as the largest circulation daily paper in
Pakistan who included his interview and picture alongwith the breaking news.
David Hamilton the famost British mountaineer reached this area on skis around the same time accompanied by Austalian skiiers.
